Timothy A. Weeks, a native of Panama City, Florida, grew up mullet fishing and working on shrimp boats with his Papa. He graduated from Baylor University. After residing in New Orleans for several years, Weeks worked for Teach For America in New York City. Living in Amsterdam, Brussels, Bangkok and Frankfurt over the next decade as a journalist, Weeks’ writings ranged from high tech investment to G7 Summits to restaurant reviews. Weeks still resides part of the year in Europe as a freelance journalist. Autumn and spring are spent along the Gulf Coast storytelling at schools and fishing.

Jeanne Weeks is a Panama City “fish n’ grits fed” girl, who studied commercial art at the Tom P. Haney Technical Center. Besides being a busy mother, wife and Sunday School teacher, she was the much-loved owner of Jeanne’s Kiddiegarden, a childcare center that she operated for 21 years. Her contribution to the Wise Mullet books series has been a journey of great importance, along with spending as much time as possible with Beau David Bryant, her grandson born just before the first book went to print. Miss Jeanne says, “Life is good.”
Miss Lala (Illustrator / Design)
Lala Rasic is a multimedia artist born in Sarajevo, Bosnia, who has received numerous awards and artist residencies for her work. She has exhibited her art from Croatia to Amsterdam, and from Istanbul to New York. Lala joined the Wise Mullet team for the second book, and has been a valuable asset ever since. Besides her busy art career, Lala also does freelance work as a designer, illustrator and animator. She currently spends a part of each year in New Orleans.
